The Grumble Bear
Octavia loves mac and cheese.
She loves it so much that she doesn’t want to eat anything else. In fact, she refuses to eat anything but mac and cheese, including a delicious beef stew that her mother prepared for dinner one night.
When Octavia refuses to eat the beef stew and instead chooses to go to bed without supper, she is visited by a very troublesome guest – The Grumble Bear.
This is who’s actually making it happen. 16 year old me would be pretty proud!

There’s a spirituality to the West that’s hard to explain until you’ve stood beneath those enormous skies and felt the silence around you.
I’ve been missing that feeling—the space, the stillness, the sense of something ancient and bigger than myself. Painting this was my way of finding my way back. 🤎

I’ve been missing the West lately. The wide-open spaces. The red rock. The enormous skies that make you feel very small and very connected at the same time.
There’s something spiritual about a Western landscape—the kind of quiet that makes you stop, breathe, and remember that there are things much bigger than whatever is weighing on you.
Painting this was cathartic. It felt less like creating a landscape and more like finding my way back to a place I love. And maybe that’s one of the reasons I believe so deeply in art: sometimes making something is a way of healing something.
This one holds a little bit of that longing for me. A reminder that you can carry a place with you, even when you’re far away from it. 🤎
